Ronaldinho said in a TV interview at a local hotel in Paraguay that he did not know he had been given fake passports. The former football star said he had cooperated with the investigation team. Former Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho and his brother have been released on bail by a Paraguayan court.

According to the foreign news agency, the former Brazilian footballer Ronaldinho and his brother were released from jail by the court in exchange for 1.6 million dollars. According to the police, both the brothers have been transferred to the hotel where they are detained until the end of this case. Both brothers are accused of entering Paraguay illegally.

Ronaldinho was caught last month trying to enter Paraguay with his brother, allegedly showing a fake passport. Former players have been jailed a few times before for illegal activities.
